Research

So far the research for my final paper is going well. I am finding a lot of interesting information and facts to use when putting together my paper. I believe this outline that is due wednesday is going to be a huge help. It will allow me to be organized and guide me when writing out the paper. I have never actually taken advantage of an outline before and i think it will be great in helping with around 12 pages. I hope to have about 10-13 main ideas/topics and about 5 details within the topic to fill out a page for each idea. I will be getting started soon so i am not stuck doing it all last minute. Good luck

Artistic Response

I am rather unsure of what to do for the creative response, the book was full of images i created in my head while reading each chapter. I have to do some thinking/research and come up with a creative idea. I am interested in hearing other peoples ideas.

Topic Proposal

Confused on what i should do for a topic regarding a 10-15 page paper.... I want to be interested and entertained and wanna keep writing. 10-15 pages is something you can't do if your bored with a topic. Time for some creative thinking and research.

Indian Presentations

I thought the presentations on the local tribes around washington were interesting. It was good to see the history, traditions, and celebrations of each local tribe. I also found what they did for food and shelter intereesting as some relied on fish and berries, while others did some hunting as well. It was a good project to invest time in

Absolutely true diary of a part time indian

After completing the book i thought it was a well put together piece. It had humor, diversity, challenges, and hope that made me want to read more. He provided pictures to help get the point across which was a great addition. I found it interesting to read more upon when he left the reservation and begin his own chapter in life by going to the white school "Rearden". He was faced with being the only indian besides the mascot to go to the school and he made his way to the top by lying, fighting, and having faith that things would get better. Although he lost multiple loved ones in horrible ways, he kept moving forward when he wanted to hide in a room and go away forever. I would be interested in reading a sequel to see what his life turned out to be and how it got there.
